SoleMates Foundation Donate & Deliver Shoe Drive Sponsored by New Raleigh

Earlier this month, we told you about SoleMates Foundation, a local non-profit organization whose goal is to put as many pairs of shoes on needy feet as they can. Now, SoleMates is ready to launch their Donate & Deliver shoe drive which will last for four weeks, throughout the month of August. The goal of Donate & Deliver is to collect 2,500 pairs of new and gently worn shoes and $5,000 to help send them to individuals in need around the United States through the company’s newly launched SoleMates Foundation.

Donate & Deliver will host multiple events throughout the campaign at the local Irish pub, Tir na nOg, located on South Blount St. in downtown Raleigh. To help reach their goal, Donate and Deliver event guests are asked to bring a pair of shoes or make a monetary donation to benefit the SoleMates Foundation.

Participating partners include Tir na nOg, Brasco Design+Marketing, LoneRider Brewing Company, Riley Life Logistics, Triangle Blvd, NewRaleigh.com, Adam Peele, Raleigh Denim, Capturing Life Through (better) Photography, and Accent Imaging.

If you have any shoes that you'd like to donate, you can take your shoes to any of the events or drop them off any day at Tir na nOg, Raleigh Denim, Accent Imaging, LoneRider, Ahpeele Creations and Riley Life Logistics.

Launch Party

Thursday August 4th

Donate and Deliver will officially begin on Thursday, August 4 with the official kick-off party from 5:30-8:30 p.m. The party will offer after-work beer specials and gives consumers a chance to meet and greet all the Donate & Deliver sponsors.

Local Beer Local Band

Thursday, August 11th

Things start to heat up with the following week’s event on Thursday, August 11 during Local Band Local Beer from 9 p.m. to midnight. As a special offer, all guests who bring a pair of shoes or make a $1 donation will receive entry into a raffle for the chance to win prizes including Kinder Soles merchandise.

LoneRider Brewing Tasting Event

Wednesday, August 17

This event gives consumers the chance to sample local beer donated by LoneRider Brewing Company while testing their trivia knowledge in a contest from 8-11 p.m.

 

Tir Na Nog Run Club

Monday, August 22

For those who don’t get their fill of trivia, they can come back on Monday, August 22 to the Run Club and participate in a trivia contest focused on all things green from 6-9 p.m.

 

Donate & Deliver Wrap-Party

Thursday, September 1st

Finally on Thursday, September 1st, the Donate & Deliver wrap-party with take place from 6-9 p.m. and be the final push for Kinder Soles to reach their goal of 2,500 pairs of shoes donated in one month. The event will feature music, drinks and lots of raffle prizes for guests to win.
