The first person to post ALL THREE answers in the comment section of this post wins a huge, mounted 34x56 poster of this photo.

1) Name all three players in the photo.
2) What was the actual height of the player on the left? What was his registered height?
3) During the 1974 Final Four game vs. UCLA, there was an instance where one NCSU player was fouled, yet a different player, David Thompson, took his free throws for him. What was the name of the player that was actually fouled?

Mounted poster courtesy of the Raleigh City Museum, photo originated from the Special Collections Library at North Carolina State University.

Okay. This one was tough to decide, but I’m going to go with the first one that was 100% accurate with no errors/typos, etc… which is Walker.

Jake, that Hoopedia place is the only site that puts him at 7’2.5, everywhere else has 7.2. Also, at an event we had here at the Museum a couple years ago with the ‘74 team, Burleson himself said that he was actually 7’2, so I’m gonna go with that.

LAB, Don’t think you can purchase this anywhere as a poster, but you can order the photo from the Special Collections Library at NCState.

You know, Phil Spence and Tim Stoddard were hosed on this deal. Not to mention they had that studid Spalding basketball standing in for “Wilson”. I mean really, Wilson was a movie star in Castaway. Wait that was his cousin soccerball.
