This Saturday, a group of local stand-up comedians will be coming to Kings Barcade to perform their best material in The Last Minute Comedy Show. All proceeds from the show will go to benefit comedySPARK, the newest, funniest addition to SPARKcon, September's multi-disciplinary conference celebrating creativity in the Triangle.
Comedians will include regional favorite Mello Mike, whose comedy is as smooth and laid back as his name suggests. Mike has been a finalist in comedy contests all over the Southeast and opened for comedy heavy weights including Dave Attell and Ralphie Mae.
Also on the line up is Eric Megert, whose sarcastic, twisted take on relationships, West Virginia upbringing and everyday life has won over audiences across the state. Megert has opened for a number of nationally touring comedians and recently won the title Funniest Comic in the Sandhills.
New Raleigh's own Caroline Monday will also perform in Saturday’s show, delivering dry commentary on topics ranging from the challenges of Tweeting while stalking to proper techniques for using tampons to scare away men.
A rising star in the local comedy scene, Crazy Boris and his accordion will close the show with songs including “Danny the Homeless Knight” and “Frat Boy Cowboy.”
