In 1993, after leaving Winston Salem’s SECCA in its heyday, Lee Hansley opened his Raleigh gallery. Today Hansley’s gallery represents the most professionally curated private gallery in Raleigh. Hansley’s artists stand on their own level, and the work offers a level of craftsmanship that represents the best that NC has to offer. Featured in the show are local favorites like Luke Buchanan and Greenville’s Paul Hartley. The works have been submitted in commemoration of the anniversary. Hansley hints that the works reference the occasion on various levels “a free-wheeling variety of clever interpretations of the theme has resulted. “
