Love Hangover Coming to The Pour House

It’s not even Christmas yet and we’re already talking Valentine’s Day. Shame on us, but another Kings Barcade event holdover will be coming to a different bar near you this winter. The Love Hangover was an annual event at Kings Barcade that involved local boy/girl musical duos singing original songs, cover songs or whatever they felt like doing on stage the day after Valentine’s Day. I don’t think it was an event last year but do know there was a Neu Romance event that was “In Memory of The Love Hangover” at The Globe on Glenwood South. This year, it will occur, as usual, on February 15th but at a new venue, The Pour House.

Now that the Cover-up, ahem, Raleigh Undercover is back into play, it looks like the ghost of Kings has started to come back to life in the City of Oaks. It also seems like The Love Hangover has spread throughout the country after being induced in Raleigh. No name controversy there.

Love lost, love found, love in limbo…the 9th Annual Love Hangover show will feature local musician & vocalist boy/girl duos covering all affairs of the heart. A post valentine’s night of bittersweet not to be missed.
