Love Language New Album Preview and Date

Director Jason Arthurs (who also filmed The Rosebuds’ Life Like Video and the Hear Here Teaser Trailer) sends over this great short documentary of Stu McLamb (Love Language) and B.J. Burton (Flying Tiger Sound) snowed in earlier this year at the Flying Tiger studios on Person Street in Downtown Raleigh. The new Love Language album was recorded there over the winter although McLamb tells that most of the songs “have a beach vibe” since they were wrote while he was living in Wilmington last Winter. McLamb also mentions that the lo-fi sound of the previous album is becoming more polished relative to Burton producing the album. 

The new album Libraries, which was announced back in February now has a cover (up top), a tracklist and a release date (July 13). So far, the tracks I’ve heard a great and definitely will be perfect for a hot summer release date. More info over at Merge Records.

The band plays The Pour House Thursday night w/ The Light Pines and Moneybrother.
