There is a full eclipse of the moon tonight, which will be visible from Europe and the Americas.  According to NASA, the moon will be fully eclipsed in the Eastern Time Zone at 10 p.m. but the show starts around 8:00 pm.  The show will last for about 3 hours, as the moon passes into and back out of the Earth’s shadow.  Hopefully, any cloud cover will pass so we will be able to get a clear view of the event.  Also, North Carolina State and UNC go head to head in men’s basketball tonight, and if State pulls off the win, more than the moon will be lit up red!

I concur with the red moon.  The last time I saw a lunar eclipse was the first time I had seen one and it was an eerie sight.  They say the pass starts at 8:43, which is about the time State and UNC will be closing their contest.  I’ll be at the game.  Possibly howling at some point.
