Male Redhead Beauty Pageant at Kings Thursday Night

The second show at the newly reopened Kings Barcade is a bit of something different. Tula Boxx, longtime Raleigh drag entertainer and alter ego of International Whistling Champion Tony Woodard, is hosting Red Wolf 2010 - A Redhead, Male Beauty Pageant.

Not a traditional beauty contest, the show will be a mixture of interviews and stupid human-type talents from a handful of downtown’s loveliest gingers. Ms. Boxx will also be doing some whistling and singing along with Kevin O’Barr of ‘Kevin and Greg Live’. Carolyn Mabry will be bring her amazing hooping talents and other locals are making appearances. The show starts at 9:30 and the cover is $5.

There is also one slot left available if you, or someone you know, is male and red haired. The prize package includes the title of Mr. Red Wolf 2010 and a crown, sash, and scepter. More importantly, the winner will receive $150, though we are sure no one is doing it for the money.
