Marnie Stern's self titled third album finds the artist fully submerged in her craft, which if you are not familiar with by now, is finger-tapping guitar fury and the harmonies hidden within. Once again, Zach Hill provides his 2-for-1 drumming skills to these songs. This album seems to be a therapeutic exercise, given the lyrical content. Artist try to cement their style by the time their third album hits the shelves. Her musical style is certainly established, but now it seems she is trusting her listeners more and letting them in to her world. The album has an emotional depth that one tends to guard. From the bittersweet memories of "For Ash" to the hopeful and subtle happiness of "The Things You Notice", this album is Marnie Stern, for the whole world to hear and see.
Tera Melos most recent album, Pantagonian Rats, combines dizzying guitar work and unconventional rhythms meant to be heard with a sharp and sober ear. You might miss something during the first listen, so it helps to repeat. The exercise this album presents will bring you many rewards if you are a fan of the complex and technical side of music.

That first paragraph is a mess.
Umm, I’ve read this 3 times trying to figure out what day this is. And I agree with c’mon - I can barely parse that first paragraph and thought I just kept missing the date.
Well, yeah I can find the King’s lineup easy enough, but something titled “Marnie Stern and Tera Melos @ Kings” should give the date at a minimum. If you have enough detail to give the times, you could at least give the date. I suppose I could just show up every night at 8:30 and hope for the best.
