Megafaun played a few tracks for the online music mag La Blogotheque’s Take-Away Shows on the streets of Montreal. The group performs very beautiful versions of His Robe (from their debut album Bury the Square) with Jesus and an errant trumpet making an appearance , Tides (the last track on last year’s Gather, Form and Fly), and Volunteers (the first track off of their new mini-LP Heretofore coming later in 2010).
Locals The Bowerbirds also played La Blogotheque’s Take Away Shows back in 2008.

It would be nice to see some coverage of other area artists…. Also, it’s hard to call these recordings beautiful. In my opinion, the band just sounds sloppy.
Is that Jesus?
Oh crap he really is portraying Jesus. I should have finished reading before typing. What I really should have said was, “I didn’t know Jesus was a hipster!”
