Modest Mouse Coming to Raleigh’s Disco Rodeo
Modest Mouse will trek through Raleigh once again, for (at least) the third time in five years. They have previously played locally at the (old) Raleigh Convention Center with Camper Van Beethoven and the big ‘ole amphitheater with R.E.M. and The National.
The show will definitely sell out so get your tickets quick. Also, Johnny Marr from the Smiths won’t be making the journey on this tour.

PASS. Last time I saw them (around 2006) they played for 56 min including encore and they were the headliner and it was not a festival show.

I’ve only seen them once (with REM last summer), and thought they were fantastic. The show isn’t what is stopping me from going, it’s the ticket prices.

price is typical of Disco Rodeo (steep). just wait til you get inside - rude bouncers, $8 beers and a stage you cannot see from the floor due to the (sure to be overcrowded) deck.

Were the Black Keys prices this high a few months ago? The last show at Disco Rodeo that I cared about was a few years ago (The White Stripes) and I remember those being $20 or $25.

Whoever said they sucked live is sadly mistaken. Saw them last June with REM and they rocked out… but last night at Disco Rodeo? Holy ****ing shit… they dominated. Full setlist (minus two songs) for those who are wondering:

That was an incredible show. Just adding to the set list that was posted earlier , they played Broke and I think Interstate 8 but I’m not sure. The last song was Baby Blue Sedan .
