Just a few weeks ago, Monotonix opened up for The Silver Jews at Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro. It was a wild ride that started just in front of the stage and ended back towards the sound board. While they aren’t musical geniuses, they are fantastic at putting on an action packed performance. Their music is simple blues rock that finds relation with Thin Lizzy and The Black Keys. I won’t give much away but will simply say that you shouldn’t miss this show. You may not enjoy the music, but you won’t be disappointed by the spectacle.
Sir Arthur and his Royal Knights and Polar Bear Polar Bear open the show. From those that made PBPB’s first show at Humble Pie a couple of weeks ago, they are being hyped as the best new band in the area…wait, it was only March when we were saying that about Sir Arthur. This could be one of those Raleigh shows that gets talked about for a long time. The Pour House may get destroyed on Monday.
