It has been a month since John Hughes died and his films are buzzing in my head today. The reason is Mount Weather. Their songs would fit perfectly on a Hughes film soundtrack. Somewhere along the lines of dark yet poppy dreams of life as a teenager, Mount Weather layer instruments and voices quite blissfully. But don’t let this description fool you, their music isn’t out of date and will make a perfect soundtrack for a 75 degree, almost fall, evening at Tir Na Nog for Local Beer Local Band with indie pop headliners Max Indian.
