We hear that the English folk band Mumford and Sons will be coming to the Downtown Raleigh Amphitheater in June after their show at Bonnaroo. We aren't sure of the exact date yet or the opener yet but are sure this will be a great show and a good amount of tickets will be sold. Mumford and Sons performed with North Carolina's The Avett Brothers and Bob Dylan on the Grammys last month and their album sales skyrocketed afterwards. Their debut album Sigh No More was nominated for two Grammys and peaked at #2 on the Billboard Charts in the US.

Ryan Bingham, Junip, Sharon Van Etten, Deer Tick, Old Crow Medicine Show, Jessican Lea Mayfield and Phosphorescent are all at Bonaroo as well and would fit the bill well as an opener for this show.

Hey, a commenter (Carey) on New Raleigh voted for Mumford and Sons last year when we put together our list of bands we'd love to see the Amphitheater.
