Although not very acclaimed in America, Muse is well loved in the UK and Europe. Muse put on one of the best light shows I’ve ever seen a couple of years ago at Austin City Limits Festival. This could be an interesting combo with the U2 360 stage. Tickets went on sale today at noon for the October 3rd show at Carter Finley Stadium. I hear egos might be a problem.

I had the chance to see Muse play at the DiscoRodeo(old Ritz) about 3 years ago…

    AMAZING show.
    GREAT live band!

I had no intentions of going to see U2, but this might just change my mind.

Is there re-entry for this show?  I might buy tix just to see Muse, then leave and sell the stubs to some sucker U2 fan.

Seriously, it is a sad world we live in when a band like Muse has to open for freaking U2.  Ugh.

muse rocks for sure and i’m psyched to be seeing them but what’s up with all the hate for u2? they’re a rock institution and yeah they’ve sold millions of records and may have sold out at times but you can’t say they don’t care about helping change the world. what causes has muse backed besides claiming Bush deliberately made 9/11 happen and the haarp project?

Kevin, just saw your comment.  Who said anything about changing the world?  I just want to see a good band.  U2 is terrible, philanthropy or not.  I’d rather Bono spent 100% of his time on various charities, and stopped touring altogether.  Maybe then I could go and see an untainted Muse concert.

Now I have seen some terrible bands, horrible, terrible bands….I wouldn’t call U2 “terrible”, sounds like they just are not your personal taste…get over it and move on….i also bet Muse is thrilled to be playing with U2, I’m pretty sure they would have to disagree with your assessment of them. smile Have a great day smile
