National Trails Day

This Saturday, June 7th, is National Trails Day, organized by the American Hiking Society. There are several ways to participate:

Falls Lake

Grab your boots, gloves, and come chip in for an all-day event to work on a two mile stretch of trail to construction the Mountains to Sea trail. Details.

Eno River

Take the morning to work on and maintain trails at one of our areas most beautiful parks, Eno River State Park. Details.

Blue Jay Point County Park

Another morning event (until 1pm), and also for the Mountains to Sea Trail, this is a one mile stretch of trail in North Raleigh. Details.

Land Trust Day

If you have been planning on buying any camping or outdoor sporting gear or apparel, do it this Saturday to help the Triangle Land Conservancy. Raleigh owned business Great Outdoor Provision Company, organized this donation event.  Participants that will donate portions of their sales on Saturday: 
- Anders Natural Soap (State Farmers Market) – 5%
- Flanders Art Gallery (18 Seaboard Avenue) – 10%
- Great Outdoor Provision Company (Falls Village & Cameron Village) – 10%
- Harmony Farms (5653 Creedmoor Road) – donation
- Ornamentea (509 N. West Street) – 5%
