Natty Greene’s Opening Delayed at least 4 Weeks
Advertise on NR

Rumors have been flying about Natty Greene’s having a soft opening soon and questions have been directed to New Raleigh about when Natty Greene’s Raleigh location would open. We now have answers.

Natty Greene’s has run into an unforeseen, but mandatory, fix in the kitchen which will delay the opening for a minimum of four weeks. This means that the opening of the highly anticipated brewpub will be pushed back to mid to late February or early March. The restaurant is excited about opening in Raleigh and hope to get the issues resolved as quick as possible.

Our mouths will have to continue watering for a Natty’s brew.

Guess we will have to wait a bit longer, at least the weather will be better.

Will they have any outdoor seating?

Good point on the patio seating.. would be nice.

Peeked in the window a few days ago and the place was looking nice.  Never saw the two businesses that were there before but there was some neat tile work and the brewing equipment looked nice.

I hope they provide a high-level of bar food since Raleigh is becoming a bar/restaurant mecca.

Hopefully they get it figured out soon.

Cant effin wait! Been to the original Natty Greene’s location many times. I actually thought this one would’ve been open by now. Seems like its taken about a yr to complete the work inside. Regardless, it will be well worth the wait.

Now, if we could just get a Dogfish Head Brewpub like the ones in Rehobith Beach..Gaithersburg, MD…& Falls Church, VA!

There’s more than one Dogfish Head??  I have been to the one in Delaware, but VA is a hell of a lot closer.

I second that W. I love the DFH Brewpub in Falls Church! It would fit great in the Raleigh or Durham.

Yes, there’s more than one DFH brewpub. I had the privilege of working all the way up to Delaware(on my own schedule) 3 or 4 times a year for the last 6 years. Basically, I was bootlegging DFH and a few other beers back to NC long before popthecap.org…Also hit up some of their off-season brew dinners at the brewpub Rehobith..love that place.  About 3-4yrs ago DFH franchised a brewpub in Gaithersburg, MD and Falls Church, VA(Falls Church Brewpub is a great spot before any show at the state theatre). I doubt they’d ever consider doing one here as long as we have a 15% cap but you can be sure that if one ever opened here, it would be a huge success.
I’d be happy with a Capital Ale House(like the ones in Richmond and now dwntwn Fredericksburg. Those places are amazing.

NG has a good atmosphere and good food, but their beer totally sucks ass.

Sheesh, someone must have very high standards.  I had one of NG’s ambers (well, maybe a couple) and thought it was perfectly acceptable.  None of the skunkiness of, say, almost everything brewed by one of our local breweries, which shall go unnamed.

Its been a while since Ive been in the original Natty Greene’s(maybe 2yrs) but I always enjoyed their IPA and a few others. I prob wouldn’t pick it up if on a shelf in bottles next to some of my favorite craft beers but thats not what they do. From what I remember, its solid beer in a good atmosphere with pool tables and flat screens. Thats enough to get me in there..

    Just so you know…

    THERE IS PATIO SEATING!
Aaaand a slightly “fancier” dining room, and 2 Pub/bar areas!

    LOTS OF FOOD!
They’ll have a BIGGER KITCHEN than the Greensboro location, so we will have as much if not MORE food - and their menu is 3 pages!
Buckshot beer-battered chicken fingers, huuuge sandwiches, hand-pattied burgers with a variety of toppings, tasty wraps and aps as well as our famous Greene Plates!

    FULL FLAVOR DRAFTS!
Of course, we’ll be offering our core beers, which include:
Guilford Golden, Southern Pale, Buckshot Amber, Old Town Brown, and General Stout.
There will be seasonals offered as well which will rotate throughout the year.

    NATTY’s DOES BOTTLED BEERS, TOO!
Available throughout the triad in Harris Teeters and Lowe’s Foods, Total Wine, plus other convenience stores and grocers.
(Sorry, triangle- we’re not there yet, but you can pick up a growler of beer once we’re open!!)
