NC State Fair Sets Attendance Records Heading into Final Weekend

It’s your last weekend to head to the North Carolina State Fair which has broken multiple attendance records this year with almost every day being the highest ever. We assume this is because of the gorgeous weather we’ve had for what is listed as October but has felt like May. Friday (today) lunch was quite busy with parking on Hillsborough Street backed up to I-440 (yes, I said parking and not just traffic) so the weekend is bound to be packed. Weather looks amazing with a high of 75 on Saturday and almost 80 on Sunday.

The funny thing is that the fair is essentially the same as it was every year, there are just more people coming to the capital city in search of a Luther Burger (aka Krispy Kreme burger) I guess. Time moves forward in most places, the State Fair is not one of those places. Instead of winning a New Kids on the Block poster, it’s now Justin Bieber, those basketball goal rims are still bent and the ham biscuits still have a full shaker of salt on them.
