NC State Fair is Open, Name The Rollercoaster and Josh Turner Tonight
The fair has opened. At 3 oclock today the gates were opened as a soft launch. Check out the schedule for today here. The roller coaster above is in bad need of a name, right now they are calling it RC-48. Its one of the biggest traveling roller coasters in the world! They assure us its safe as can be. Submit your name suggestion by 11pm tonight at the guest relations booth, near the Commercial and Education Building in Kiddieland.
Josh Turner plays tonight at 7:30 in Dorton Arena, tickets are $22.
Watch New Raleigh over the next week for all kind of fair stories. We already previewed some of the fried food, like deep-fried pecan pie. Of course, fireworks are tonight at 9:30.
