NCMA Needs Your NC Faces and Places Photos

photo © Art Howard

The North Carolina Museum of Art will celebrated its grand opening of their new building on the weekend of April 24-25 with lots of events, new branding and new art.

One of these pieces of art will be a large scale photo installation that will represent North Carolina through the eyes of its residents. Everyone is encouraged to enter a photo of what North Carolina means to them. Whether it is a photo of your hometown, a tobacco field, you and your family at Tweetsie Railroad, or surfin’ the rip tides of the Outer Banks, the goal is to represent the faces and places of North Carolina.

The minimum size of the photo is 1024 pixels at 300 dpi and are subject to a 12"x12” cropping in its final form. All photos must be posted to the NCMA Faces and Places Flickr Group by February 26th. More information and photo requirements can be viewed in the Faces and Places Flickr Group Rules which can be viewed here.
