North Carolina Museum of Art Opening Weekend Event Details

The opening of the new wing of the North Carolina Museum of Art it just over a month away and the museum has started releasing information about the events of the Grand Opening Festival on April 24th & 25th. Events include a performance by the Symphony and Tift Merritt, lectures by NCMA expansion architect Thomas Phifer (among others), fashion, fireworks and more. There is also an opening gala and afterparty for all members and non-members to get a preview of the new space on April 17th. Get more information on that here and tickets here.

A lot of changes have happened at the NC Museum since announcing their new expansion, including a completely new branding and logo and a few new sculptures.

All opening festival weekend events are free to the public but tickets are required and limited. Tickets are available online beginning March 15.
