When is the dinner moving? I would have thought the building would have been torn down months ago for the new park and such?

  • Isaac12/31 07:05 PM

I don’t think Poole’s is moving. I haven’t heard anything about it, and I know they have put a lot of time and money into the building over the last year or so.

Unless something utterly wacky happens, the building isn’t going anywhere. The owners have been approached (and threatened) to sell for years, and they have absolutely zero interest in in letting it go - been in the same family for forever and they are steadfastly hanging onto it…

Wow, what a fantastic night!  Our group of 4 had such a remarkable meal at Poole’s and then danced our asses off to the awesome DJ!  The crowd was perfect - not too big, not too small, and, really, just wow.  Thanks Ashley - I hope it was everything you wanted it to be.

Just wanted to comment on dear poole’s.  I was a fan from way back - but my recent visit after it’s rennovations etc. left me a bit disenchanted.  It’s no longer enchanting. Someone opened the door for us as we entered like we were at Applebee’s and then you had to walk around to look at the drinks because the server did not offer suggestions.

It’s a new invention, but I liked the old one better.
