No doubt you've seen the banner hanging on the RBC Tower in downtown since July and now the time has come for Raleigh to host its first professional sports All-Star game. The festivities (from Zamboni's to bands at the Raleigh Amphitheater to Paperhand Puppets to NHL All-Star Autograph signing) start in downtown tomorrow (Friday) night and continue through the weekend.
The NHL All-Star game is Sunday at the RBC Center (way out there on the island) at 4pm. Good thing downtown will benefit from all the traffic, despite the RBC Center's suburban locale. (Hey, we aren't the only ones saying it.)
There's way too much to include in a post on our site so we'll simply redirect you to the NHL All-Star Wide Open website to get all of the schedules for events throughout the weekend.
I wonder if there will be any food trucks serving all of the out-of-towners? Probably and if so, maybe they'll brag to their Canadian, mostly Northern, friends about how thriving the restaurant and food truck scene are in the area. Trickle down social-nomics?

The Zamboni’s ARE a band. I’m just sayin’.
