The Historic Oakwood Candlelight Tour tops the “things to do” list this holiday season and visitors are encouraged to grab a friend/date/colleague/relative to enjoy a fun night out on the town!
The tour will run Saturday, December 13th and Sunday December 14th, with open hours between 1-7PM each day. Visitors will have a chance to walk through all of the ten homes on display, and also enjoy musicians, antique automobiles, cider and cookies in the historic neighborhood. But the fun doesn’t stop there, as this year Seaboard Station will be conducting “Light it Up: LIVE” on Friday, December 12, 2008, 6-9 pm ET, where food, drinks and a live band have been organized by the Shops at Seaboard Station. Guests will have a chance to see what else downtown Raleigh has to offer (restaurants, shops, museums) during the holiday season, and travel in style by horse-drawn carriage or by rickshaw.
Some residents have spent over six months preparing their homes for thousands of visitors to walk through, and are eager to share their accomplishments with the public.
