Obama Inauguration Day Raleigh Parties

The wait has come to an end for many enthusiastic supports, Barack Obama will be the next President of the United States. He is the first Democrat to win North Carolina since 1976 and Raleigh played a big part in the historic election.

Obama came to the area a couple of times, speaking at the fairgrounds a couple of times, stopping by The Raleigh Times for a PBR, he filled Halifax Court, and Michelle even brought a crowd of 5,000 to NC State’s campus.

Here’s a full recap of election season in Raleigh.

Raleigh celebrated Obama’s victories royally during the NC primary, on election day and will also do so on Inauguration Day.  Below is a list of many of the Inauguration Parties in Downtown Raleigh on Tuesday.

Humble Pie and Designbox are combining for an Obama art show and after party with Inauguration Day festivities at the two Warehouse District venues. More Information

The Oxford is having an Alternative ball that will combine a Weezer cover band with free food and fun. More Information.

101 Lounge + Cafe will have an all day party that ends with Cabaret. More Information

The Raleigh Times will also have festivities and drawings all day, including raffles for Obama posters and signed menus. More Information.

And if you still can’t get enough of all the hoopla, here’s a ridiculously amazing video that you can watch on repeat while dancing to the Presidential beat.

Say It….You are Correct!
