Anyone robbed and stabbed in Raleigh this afternoon is S.O.L. for emergency services.

  • CarnifeX07/29 10:45 AM

    Das rollin deep!

  • Lisa Jeffries07/29 11:24 AM

Cutie pie in the stroller did not seem one bit concerned wink

  • Matt07/29 11:31 AM

2-year-olds eating mini Chips Ahoy. No wonder we have health care issues in this country.

  • hauslogic07/29 11:54 AM

Matt, haha!  I knew I’d catch hell for that.  It was hard keeping her occupied in the hot sun.. so I broke down.

  • Harry Seaward07/29 11:56 AM

how big of a loser do you have to be to stand on the street in the middle of the work day to see a car that is probably carrying the president?  don’t these idiots have jobs?

  • smitty07/29 12:40 PM

“Catch Obama taking the stage from @Ginnyskal ‘s 3gs iphone”

    A 3gs iphone?  Sweet.

  • Steph07/29 03:33 PM

Thank you so much for the video and posting it!  I wanted to be there so bad, my house is 4 blocks from there but alas no one offered me a ticket so I stayed at work.  But I love that he was in my neighborhood, it’s so great to see.

  • gd07/30 03:32 AM

Harry:  Not everyone works the same hours as you may.  People may have used vacation.

How big of an idiot do you have to be to worry about other people you don’t know?

  • Matt07/30 03:55 AM

hauslogic, I’ve been there myself with my little one! Whatever it takes.

  • thirsty07/30 04:14 AM

who could be proud of voting for what will probably go down as the worst president in the history of the US.  DEMOCRACY KILLER doesn’t look good on a presidential resume…unless you’re a socialist!

  • el beanzo07/30 04:27 AM

I loved the morons waving the rebel flags. Classy.

  • GD07/30 04:41 AM

Thirsty: Luckily I don’t have to worry about that as I didn’t vote for G.W. Bush.

  • thirsty07/30 06:25 AM

GD: obviously you don’t know a GD thing about democracy, capitalism, or the foundations of America.  i understand it may be hard to understand now but history will prove that Obama ruined this country along with the democratic party and their initiatives.

  • Matt W07/30 06:55 AM

thirsty—is that the same history that will prove that GWB was right about everything, ever?

  • gd07/30 06:59 AM

I think I have a pretty good grasp on democracy.  I think I also have a pretty good grasp on realizing how far behind this country is when compared to other industrialized nations.  You seem not to understand that at all.  Obama is a step forward.  Too bad Bush put us 20 steps backs.

  • Bill07/30 07:49 AM

The most entertaining sight of the visit was the Republican Party HQ on Hillsborough St., where Fetzer’s white convertible sat with the top down, in a torrential downpour, while he protested the Obama visit.  What’s the french word for that, is it douche?

  • super pretzel07/30 07:55 AM

these pretzels are making me thirsty!

  • tito07/30 07:56 AM

suddenly everything is obama’s fault? long-term memory is in short-term supply.

we’re going to become socialists because of healthcare? you do realize the very internet you’re using, which allows you to be equal to every other anonymous poster on the planet with a complete disregard for social standing, class differentiation, etc is the closest thing to a socialism experiment that has ever thrived? of course you don’t. you think of socialism as a vague eerie black hole of things rush limbaugh doesn’t like, and that’s good enough for you. we’ve had socialized healthcare for fifty years - it’s called medicaid/medicare. it’s just only been for the very poor/old. where are your complaints about that? what about social security? hell it’s even got the word “social” in it. that’s like an “ism” away from what you’re complaining about. i’ll read your mind and assume that you don’t complain about either of those because a) you’re used to them and they don’t frighten you and b) obama didn’t suggest them. you’re not afraid of obama ruining this country, you’re afraid of anything changing.

  • matt07/30 08:18 AM

Got news for ya, Harry. LOTS of us idiots suddenly don’t have jobs. Perhaps now would be the time you start to watch what you say about us in public places. There’s about to be a lot more of us than there are of you, you self-righteous, sneering yet-somehow-employed hack.

Oh, you’re still free to run us down wherever you guys who still work hang out - is that the “water cooler”? But you might want to moderate the discourse hereabouts.

  • matt07/30 08:19 AM

And, thirsty, we’ve never had anything LIKE real democracy here. And you can’t kill what was never alive.

  • jon07/30 09:02 AM

The definition of fascism is big government in bed w/ big business. Since, Obama entered office, simply count the takeovers, GM, AIG (the worlds largest ins. co.), warrants in every tarp bank, chrysler, .... The ultimate reality of fascism is the suppression of the freedom to dissent and critical thinking. What’s up sheeple?

  • GD07/30 09:10 AM

And lets also recall what Bush was doing when he was leaving…

did the republicants forget about that already?

  • Ken Metzger07/30 09:12 AM

“The definition of fascism is big government in bed w/ big business.”  I guess my dictionary is broken, because mine does not state that at all.

  • tito07/30 09:42 AM

fascism - a political philosophy, movement, or regime that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition.

jon - you’re mixing up fascism with interventionism. it’s fine if you think he’s an interventionist but the argument goes nowhere when you simply throw around buzzwords.

  • gd07/30 09:44 AM

Tito:  thats a technique learned by carefully watching faux news.

  • jon07/30 10:13 AM

    the truth hurts tito!

  • Chad07/30 10:56 AM

I just used our government-provided courier service to send a letter! I’m such a damn socialist.

  • Cardello07/30 11:05 AM

Got a problem with “Socialized” programs? OK…cool. Just don’t send your kids to public school. Hire your own police. Don’t call the fire department to put out your blaze. As citizens of the richest nation, we have the right to utilize these public institutions. I’d like the right to health care that’s determined by a doctor rather than Blue Cross (my current provider).

  • Aaron07/30 11:35 AM

    Too bad the state’s BLUE

  • sasquatch fan07/30 01:36 PM

Where is sasquatch when you need him?

I think he should weigh in on the issue.

  • beth07/30 04:42 PM

Video of the landing at RDU…can see President Obama get off AF1 at the end!

  • thirsty07/31 07:51 AM

you guys are funny…personally, i’m not very fond of medicare/medicaid/social security.  tito…you’re good for a few laughs..not much else though
