Obama Motorcade will stop traffic

Security measures and presidential convenience will close I 40 from the Airport to Broughton High School to all traffic including pedestrians.  Plan on avoiding this path this morning from 10:45 to 11:15 am and this afternoon 2:00 to 2:30 pm. The entire route and the area around Broughton are worth avoiding today as it is expected to be congested for much of the midday.

Broughton sits off of Peace Street and Saint Mary’s and will have ticket holders arriving this morning at 9.  Our hopes for another visit to the Raleigh Times looks to be dashed as he’s headed to Virginia immediately following the health care talk today.
