If you haven’t seen Of Montreal live the past few times they have hit the Triangle, you will have another chance, this time it will be on the glorious stage of Durham’s Carolina Theatre and on the same day (October 7th) that the band releases their new album Skeletal Lamping. This show will be no less than spectacular and local thrift stores should stock up now. They will also have a new member on stage with them during this tour, Sinkane who filled in for Caribou’s drummer recently and will open many of the shows, then play with Of Montreal on stage.
Of Montreal put on a live show that is about as fun and energetic as any band performing today. Their on stage antics and visuals compliment the music perfectly. The Durham show will be the first for the band on their North American tour and as mentioned, it will be on the same day that they release their new album (track listing below).
