Discovering Edward McKay Used Books (and More) is like crawling into that wardrobe in your grandparents’ house and actually ending up in Narnia for once.

If you’ve never been, well, get excited.

If you have been, also get excited.

Because Edward McKay is celebrating his birthday or anniversary or something this Saturday… ALL. DAY. LONG. That means no matter what plans you already have on Saturday, chances are there is at least one unit of time that you will be absolutely unfettered and free to take advantage of bagels, face painting, story time, DJ Castro-ing, cookie eating, rock band playing, coloring, or adopting basset hounds.

Come one, come all to Ed Mckay’s Anniversary Celebration, commemorating one year in our new location! To thank our customers for their continued support we have the day packed with events, giveaways, contests, and music! Buy your raffle tickets now to win a Nintendo Wii and other great prizes; tickets are just one dollar and all proceeds will go to the Wake Literacy Council and Carolina Basset Hound Rescue. 1pm: Story time with Kris

1pm-3pm: Face Painting

1pm-3pm: Wake Literacy Council education on site

2pm-3pm: Raffle winners announced

3pm-7pm: DJ Castro in house

4pm-5pm: Vegan Cookie-off contest (Stop in or Call us @ 919-790-9299 to sign up)

7:30pm-8:30pm: Rock Band contest

The Vegan Cookie-off will be judged by customers, that means YOU, so come get your cookie on!
