Peter Lamb, saxophonist of Peter Lamb and the Wolves just wants to play music. Having assembled an All-Star lineup of local jazz greats to entertain his song arrangements, Lamb says this band is “my personality through music.” The Wolves consist of vocalist (“a badass belter”) and keyboardist Mark Wells, George Knott of Atomic Rhythm Allstars on bass sax, Al Strong on trumpet, and drummer Steve Koffman. Peter Lamb and the Wolves’ strength and appeal lie in the heart and soul of the music, not merely technical ability, and Lamb says that his songs are for every music lover, not only “jazz snobs.” He invites you to come on out to watch the band and/or dance every first and third Wednesday at Humble Pie, including this week, May 6.

Also, Peter’s former band The Countdown Quartet is, yes, back together and will be playing the Seaboard Café on May 15!
