Pierrot Le Fou

A new print of Pierrot le fou has made its way to Raleigh.  The 10th feature from Jean-Luc Godard will be showing this week at Colony Theater (please see playing times listed below) and on February 15th at the North Carolina Museum of Art as part of their Winter Film series.  The film stars Godard staples Jean-Paul Belmondo (Breathless) and Anna Karina (A Woman is a Woman, Alphaville, Band of Outsiders).  The film focuses on the inevitable conflicts that arise from intimacy between men and women, largely as a result of their very different modes of communication.  Inspired by Bonnie and Clyde and the director’s own proverb: “All you need for a movie is a girl and a gun.”  Nice.  Sweet, even.
