Apple announced at their iPhone event today that the new iPhone 4S will be out on October 14, in just a few days time. You can preorder the new iPhone 4S beginning October 7th on Apple's website.
The new device is equipped with dual core system and graphics chips, a 5 lens 8MP camera (that shoots at f2.4!), a voice response system in which the phone will perform basic functions such as searching the web and making calendar appointments, a super high resolution screen and an 8 hour battery.
This is the fastest rollout time for an Apple iPhone device to date.
Along with the announcement, Apple trotted out an Epic Games Associate to show off their subsidiary Chair Entertainment's new game: Infinity Blade II. Phil Schiller of Apple noted that Infinity Blade I made $20 million in revenue. After last week's release of Gears of War, it is good to see the local game juggernaught staying in the mainstream news.

The presenter referenced that home consoles can't use some of the graphic techniques used in the game. He ended his demo with the comment "[its] only going to run like this on the iPhone 4S. Why? Because it's awesome?" We think it probably has to do with some new open-gl tech that 5 year old video game hardware doesn't have.
