On Thursday, May 6th, a stylish crowd gathered at the North Carolina Museum of Art for the Altar Ego Fashion Show & Event, sponsored by Tre Bella, Inc. and Dress for Success Triangle NC. Tre Bella Bridal, located in Durham was founded 6 years ago by the Price sisters, and specializes in high-end bridal gowns, bridesmaids dresses and more.
Altar Ego, “an event all about you,” featured ready-to-wear from Hadley Emerson Boutique in Chapel Hill & Magpie Boutique in Durham. The event was emceed by Pat Nathan, President of Dress for Success Triangle NC. The bridal collection featured top designs by Priscilla of Boston, Manuel Mota, & Junko Yoshioka. Also showcased were the hottest looks in tuxedos by Bernard’s Formal Wear.
The highlight of the evening was the unveiling of Carol Hannah Whitfield’s lovely new bridal collection, which is being sold locally exclusively at Tre Bella in Durham. Carol Hannah is the very popular & talented runner-up from last season’s Project Runway. Ms. Whitfield was at the event & I had the pleasure of meeting her in person.
Carol Hannah is a genuine southern belle and her designs are truly as sweet as she is. Simple lines, classic styling, & soft silks lend her collection a charming feminine edge. From innocent & flirty to long & seductive, her gowns are a must-have for any stylish bride in the know. “My collection is light & easy to wear—still dramatic, yet comfortable enough to dance in all night long,” says Ms. Whitfield of her new line.
