Raleigh has had a lot of buoyancy through the housing crisis. The oft cited Forbes rankings put us at number one for places to live and work and start a business. Thats why it comes as no surprise that the city has been recognized by Bizjournals, the parent company of the Triangle Business Journal, that Raleigh offers “the best job opportunities for young adults.”
The rankings came out of a study comparing cities with a high percentage of young adults (18-34) vs. cities with a low percentage of young adults to fin their economic differences. Cities with high young populations have good job growth, pay increases, and population growth.
That’s why I live here - and that’s why I went back to school. Competition is fierce in RDU, w/o a 4 year degree I was lost in the crowd.
