Raleigh has had a lot of buoyancy through the housing crisis. The oft cited Forbes rankings put us at number one for places to live and work and start a business. Thats why it comes as no surprise that the city has been recognized by Bizjournals, the parent company of the Triangle Business Journal, that Raleigh offers “the best job opportunities for young adults.“
The rankings came out of a study comparing cities with a high percentage of young adults (18-34) vs. cities with a low percentage of young adults to fin their economic differences. Cities with high young populations have good job growth, pay increases, and population growth.
- Raleigh - “This is the only market to finish in the top 10 in three key categories: population growth, job growth, and the percentage of young adults with college degrees. Raleigh is also blessed with a relatively low cost of living.“
- Austin
- Washington D.C.
- Las Vegas
- Phoenix
