Raleigh Cat by Raleigh Boys Club

The Raleigh Boys Club has been plotting a race the likes of which Raleigh has never seen.  A velo diem worthy of the city’s attention and the nation’s respect.  Alley Cat races are unique events- open to all and themed to be more about fun than speed.  Raleigh Cat is being organized by some of the most active bikers in the city and is sure to be a slick event that is fun for all attendees.

Sunday July 12
Registration/start @ Back of Seaboard Station 4pm
Race Starts 5pm
Fee $5

Registration starts off around 4pm in the back of the Seaboard Station parking lot near the intersection of Halifax and Peace.  Followed by an after party with the popular DJs from blacklisted- thien/smedium/spclgst and beer from Aviator Beer Co.

    Has any information been posted about the route or miles? I checked the website, but didn’t see anything.

    The whole point of a Cat is that you make up your own route.  Usually the checkpoints aren’t revealed until just before the race starts.

    Do most people use a road bike or any kind of bike?

    It should be all pavement, so you’ll want to use a road or hybrid bike or you’ll be expending a lot of unneeded energy fighting against big, knobby tires.
