Sold: The Raleigh Chronicle
A statement on the Raleigh Chronicle’s website today says that the publication has been bought by another newspaper, and will shut down. Details will be released tomorrow. Perhaps the publication was sold after it received national attention, and resulting record traffic, for releasing the photo of a suspect in the Eve Carson murder case in Chapel Hill several weeks ago.
RALEIGH - After serving over a million readers in the Raleigh community, the locally owned Raleigh Chronicle will close on Tuesday, as another newspaper purchases the publication. A more detailed story will appear on Tuesday, the final day of publication for the Raleigh Chronicle.

Who purchased the Chronicle? I tried to find the article on their website with no luck. And it also seems that they printed stories yesterday.
