Raleigh Convention Center Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The ribbon cutting ceremony for the Grand Opening of the new Raleigh Convention Center was at noon today. After a couple of speeches, five loud cannon booms and a lot of news crews and confetti sprawling at the front entrance, the doors are now open with The International Festival filling the Exhibit Hall and other great art work throughout the building, including great construction photos by Doug Van de Zande.
