Verses Jeans is no longer. Following a trademark dispute with another line of jeans, Victor Lytvinenko and Sarah Yarborough made a quick rebranding to Raleigh Denim. With the new name the young entrepreneurs are making a commitment to the city in an exciting way. These high end jeans are already sold in some the most exclusive boutiques around the world, going forward as their distribution spreads, our city’s name will be on some of the best dressed asses around. We figure all it will take is Kanye rocking Raleigh Denim and the city will officially get that creative class those planners keep talking about.

Following their appearance on “The State of Things” on NPR, I got a pair under the now vintage name Verses. They’re great. And to know that the denim is woven in NC and they are handmade here in town, it makes me proud to wear them.
I wondered from the moment that I heard of these jeans, which are great, by the way, how they were able to avoid trouble with Versace. “Versus” is Versace’s ready-to-wear line. They use the “Versus” name mainly for their jeans. Granted, the name is spelled differently, but my guess (I don’t know for sure) is that Versace is the one who had the problem. If that’s the case, I’d say that’s quite a complement ![]()
where can you buy them here in town (raleigh, that is)?
Currently you can only get the jeans locally at special discount events that happen once in a while. Watch New Raleigh and we will let you know when the next one is coming up.
NV at North Hills carries the full line and/or you can come down to our warehouse on South Bloodworth St if you are interested.
Nice! just heard about these from my cousin. I am in DC, any plans to sell up here? If not, I will stop by the warehouse in NC next time I am there…
I hope to God that Kanyes’ dumb ass never says Raleigh on it.
I just heard about “Raleigh Denim” last night on the news. I think it’s great to have the City’s name on a line of jeans, but I heard them say that these jeans are going for between $100 and $200 a piece. THAT is ridiculous ! 3 years ago, before the tsunami wave wiped out Sri Lanka, where Jordache Jeans were made, I bought about 25 pair of Jordache Jeans from Wal-Mart for about $17 eachand they fit PERFECT !! They are most likely just as good as the Raleigh Denim jeans, only I have MORE of them !!!
When is your warehouse open? I would love to see the line. I missed the news piece and would love to learn more about your company. Good luck and congratulations on such a great start.
I met you guys at the mills this week. Please keep me posted on updating your website!
