Raleigh Names New Police Chief

The City Manager, J Russell Allen, has named Harry Patrick Dolan as the new police chief for the Raleigh Police Department. I was looking over the press release from the city of Raleigh’s website and thought, “Gee this guy looks familiar.”

Upon reading further I saw that he was police chief in Lumberton, NC (hometown of another New Raleigh contributor…wink wink) from 1992-1998. My memory is a bit foggy but I think I went to middle school with some of his kids.

Hate to be cliche, but it really is a small world.
