Downtown Raleigh New Years Eve Events

First night is a given and this year it’s going to be great, but its also going to be crowded, cold and booze free.  Raleigh has several other things going on for New Years Eve that we are really excited about.

Young & Chic: NCMA’s NYE Party at Flanders

The NCMA Contemporaries is a group for young professionals with an interest in art and mingling with other art lovers.  They have teamed up with Flanders and Poole’s to throw a NYE bash right downtown at the super chic new Flanders space.  The event includes catering from Poole’s including a banana foster’s station- a french form of gluttony that will be good to get in before those ‘10 resolutions. The party will have DJ Jason Wiggs and a cash liquor bar.

Flander’s recent openings have been well attended by who’s who in Raleigh art, we expect the Midnight Menagerie to be the classiest escape right in downtown.

Elegant & Sensual: Poole’s NYE Dinner

Poole’s is always a great evening and NYE they have a great 3 course offering that includes Lobster, scallops and some excellent of Ashley Christensen’s masterfully prepared pork dishes. Poole’s follows up the dinner with a New Year’s Day Brunch.  Call (919) 766-0557 for more information.

On New Year’s Eve we will serve a three-course menu for $49/++.  Each course will include various options and we will be taking reservations in multiple slots between 6:00pm and 10:30pm.

Live & Loud: Slim’s with Rooster For the Masses

Slim’s hosts a couple of shows designed to dove-tail with the acorn drop.  Rooster for the Masses goes on after the count-down and as one of our favorite rock shows, we expect it will be a great start to 2010.

Dancing & Fireworks: Busy Bee

DJ’s Thein and smedium will be tearing it up at Busy Bee with a special NYE edition of their bumble party.  Busy Bee will have a special NYE menu and a moderate cover for a champagne toast and rooftop access for the fireworks.

Good article, though technically Bananas Foster is American, not French. Brennan’s Restaurant, BF’s birthplace, though French in style, is located on Royal St. in New Orleans.

@BooYaa I think the word you are looking for is “you’re”.
Might want to wait on that check…
