Raleigh Undercover at Tir Na Nog: Save the Date(s)

Raleigh Undercover returns for a second year at Tir Na Nog from Thursday January 7th until Sunday January 10th.  If you don’t know much about Raleigh Undercover, it is an annual weekend event where local bands perform sets of bands that, in most cases, have been influences of their own. The bands participating are announced ahead of time, but which band they are covering is not. It should be, as always, a fun filled four days of surprises.

The event is a benefit and all the proceeds of the door will go to The Bipolar Society of NC this year. A lot of the band slots look to be already filled with a few more still to be decided. If you are an interested band, get up with Chris Tamplin through the Undercover Facebook event page.

Isn’t it (and it’s predecessor, the Great Cover-Up) usually a little later in the winter?  I keep thinking it sounds like a blast, but I’ve never made it.  But then if it’s regularly the same weekend as Elvisfest, then that might be why.

It’s two weeks earlier than last year, and the Cover-Up was usually in December if memory serves.
