Raleigh Wide Open Music Festival Schedule

Raleigh’s music scene can only get better over the next few years. The city needs more multi-day festivals including bands of all genres to get fans from all corners into downtown. We already announced the Music Spark schedule and have the full music schedule for Raleigh Wide Open below.

There will be three stages of music at the three day Raleigh Wide Open Festival - Fireworks, Cherry Bounce and RCC Plaza. Each stage has a specific focus, but all will provide very fun and hopefully loud entertainment for downtown Raleigh. Parades, Fireworks, belly dancers, step teams, legendary musicians and local musicians.  Hopefully both Music Spark and Raleigh Wide Open/Cherry Bounce will become a yearly pilgrimage for music fans in many surrounding areas.

Sweet. Looks like a decent little lineup for a free festival.

What is the significance of Cherry Bounce? Did Bounce fabric softener come up with a Cherry flavored version? Delicious.

Its actually not a bad name for a festival in itself. Raleigh’s signature festival maybe?

Cherry Bounce was Joel Lane’s drink of choice. Supposedly, he fed it to a bunch of Convention members who were staying at his house deciding which plot of land to buy to set up the state capital… and after a night of cocktails, they decided to purchase his land.

Not THE Sugar, or even The Sugar. It’s a cover band.
