We gave you a preview of the Raleigh Wine Shop on Glenwood South back in April and can now let you know that the doors are officially open and the crew are ready for shoppers. Plus, they are having a Grand Opening celebration this weekend.

The store was created out of a shared passion for wine and vision for how it should be sold by Seth Hoffman, Jeff Bramwell and Ryan Fulkerson, three friends and wine industry veterans.  The public is invited to a Grand Opening celebration on Saturday May 21 with wine tastings and free samples from provision vendors. In addition, Farmhand Foods, one of the shop’s provision vendors, will be on site with its  Sausage Wagon selling locally made sausages.

In addition to carefully selected wines, The Raleigh Wine Shop will also carry beer and many traditional wine-friendly provisions, such as olives, cheese, locally made crackers and salami. Coffee and olive oils will also be available.

The Raleigh Wine Shop is located at 126 Glenwood Ave in Glenwood South with hours Monday-Saturday 11am-7pm. For more information, call 919-803-5473 or visit www.theraleighwineshop.com.

Stopped by for the grand opening.  Really nice store.  They kept it clean and simple and user friendly for those of us that aren’t sommeliers.  The auto-dispenser self serve wine bar is pretty damn cool as well.  I hope this place does well!  Stop by and buy some wine.
