Raleigh’s Population Up 3% in 2008
Raleigh continues to grow steadily but slowed down a bit in 2008. I wonder what percentage of those moved directly downtown?
Raleigh’s Growth Management Division estimates that the city’s population was 385,507 as of Jan. 1, up from 374,320 a year earlier.

“Raleigh says the majority of its growth is at its far reaches: the northeast Raleigh area including Wakefield, the northwest Raleigh area including Brier Creek, and southeast Raleigh outside the Beltline.”
This is why we need that targeted development in the core!
