Harley people are hilarious.  I imagine that only a small number of them realize they’re dressing up like Tom of Finland characters.  But maybe more of them know than we realize.

@Robert E.- well I guess that’s why for the past several years it has been on the same weekend as NC LGBT Pride.  Hah!  :-D

Any day I can see gay bikers and a Metallica tribute band all in the same place is a good day.

I know where NOT to be this weekend. The noise those motorcycles make is a public nuisance and the people that ride them are not any better.

I don’t understand why it is illegal for my puny little car stereo to be so many decibels at so many feet by law (I forget the details, but it isn’t very loud), but these startlingly loud vehicles are completely legal. It just astounds me.  I wager that a great percentage of people agree with me, judging from the reactions of people around me when they go by.  NC Pride is this weekend as well, so there will be lots of gay folks prowling around the bars and clubs too!

Yeah.  It’s going to be a long weekend.  I don’t see why I have to be rattled out of bed by some idiot that is compensating for his tiny penis and fat ugly wife.

And the next asshole that revs the engine of his already loud bike when driving under a bridge will get “accidentally” run off the road.  Then maybe next time he’ll think twice about making me leap out of my seat while I’m trying to drive.

We all have to put up with these obnoxiously loud bike more than 2 days out of the year. Restaurant’s with patios are constantly having to deal with the drive-by’s by these yuppies on Harleys headed back to their North Raleigh McMansions. These yuppies are constantly infringing on customer’s right to a peaceful lunch or dinner outside. I personally believe that the cops need to crack-down on these noise polluters, but they won’t, because in general the people that ride these bikes are not the police force’s target demographic.

The irony is making my eyes bleed.  If you don’t like people or noise, why are you downtown?  Maybe a trailer and 5 acres would be a better fit.

People and noise are not the problem, the problem is the obnoxiously loud motorcycles. There is no good reason for these bikes to not have working mufflers, other than the fact that the people riding them are inconsiderate assholes.

It also has nothing to do with downtown as these bikes use the roads everywhere.  There is absolutely no difference between a crushingly loud stereo rattling a POS Toyota on Maynard in Cary at a stop light and some douche revving his engine at the same intersection.

Quit your bitchin’! The fact that all these little wussy hipsters(liberals) are whinning so much makes this my favorite event Raleigh host.

Holy smokes,  I’m a liberal and a hipster??  That’s news to me.  I guess I’ll have time to reevaluate my political leanings while I’m revving my engine in front of your house at 6:30 tomorrow morning.
