The North Carolina primary for the presidency is coming up in one month and registration ends this week.  The republican candidate has been decided and the democratic ticket has been in the national eye for the past few months.  North Carolina will be the center of that attention in a month.

It has been announced that both candidates want to have a debate in North Carolina and it looks like it may happen in the capital city.  The proposed date is April 27, just a week before the primary and will be hosted at the RBC Center in Raleigh.  Bob Schieffer and Katie Couric of CBS will host.  There are hurdles to be crossed for this to happen but it would definitely put Raleigh in the national spotlight.
