Remedy Diner Menu

Remedy Diner on Hargett StreetRemedy Diner, a small restaurant soon to open on Hargett street, launched their website.  Included is a menu with many affordable and tasty looking options for both vegetarians and omnivores.

A list of fairly standard sandwiches but several Vegan and veggie options like “Vegan Chicken Salad” and “Veggie BLT” include fake meat or tempeh as stand ins.  There is also an interesting a la carte salad construction option that sounds like fun.

Remedy also has a liquor license and will be serving Big Boss Angry Angel, Blue Moon and Newcastle on tap along with various bottled beers, cocktails and wines.  The wine sounds reasonably priced at $5 a glass and $24 bottles.  With fair prices and not much competition - Remedy sounds to have a lot to look forward to.

    Unfortunately, the link is broken.

But I am looking forward to the possibility of a good diner-type restaurant here.

    Website down captain.

I don’t think they were ready to be discovered yet.  Whoops… smile

  • hackles1001/06 05:07 PM

Wish I would have looked at the menu more closely!!

Luckily Google’s cache remembers things when websites want to disappear: http://is.gd/eJey (and PDF link still works)

Looks great to me! I could go for that Spicey Turkey right about now.

i’m liking the name. The Remedy. definitely has a diner appeal to it. how soon is soon?

  • ChiefJoJo01/06 09:54 PM

I am so psyched up about Remedy.  Will they serve brunch?  If so, I’m goin’, that’s all there is to it.

The hours disappoint me. I was hoping to be able to grab a bite after a night drinking at the Times and Landmark.

  • scoop01/07 08:51 AM

shouldn’t it be a requirement to serve breakfast if you are going to call yourself a diner?

i’m kind of surprised there is a fixed wine price without a wine list.

not a fan of the hours either, Elliot.

I agree…wish the menu was a bit more than sandwiches and salads.  Where is the meatloaf? open faced turkey sandwiches? omelettes? home made chili?

Looking forward to what they have on the menu, and hoping they diversify soon after opening!

They don’t have a hood in that place so there will be no fried ,grilled or sauteed food..I think the menu looks pretty good for what they have to work with.

  • hackles1001/07 11:05 AM

    ^good to know…that explains a lot.

Do they have any intentions of adding a hood at any point?

  • c01/07 11:18 AM

i hear they are going to have outdoor seating too!  i’m looking forward to that.  i think the menu is great, especially for vegetarians, there are not a lot of vegetarian places around raleigh (reasonably priced).

  • Tony01/07 01:16 PM

Sounds like the Rockford, which I do like.

But why they are calling it a diner? It’s as much a diner as a hot dog cart is a diner.
I could be missing something, I guess. Just got my hopes up when I saw a new diner was opening, and then found out it’s a sandwich place with alcohol that closes before the bars.

  • C01/07 02:49 PM

they were supposed to be a diner but the city of raleigh was forcing them to VENT THRU the roof, $40k for a hood!!!!!!

DINER, it’s just a word.  The Remedy Diner will will be something new & cool in small raleigh, be thankful.

I cannot believe how negative people are about a new place that hasn’t even opened yet!  You should give new businesses a chance and realize how hard it is to open a restaurant in the city of Raleigh without corporate money behind you.
Downtown Raleigh is never going to succeed without the help of open-minded patrons.  I, personally thought the menu sounded great!  There really aren’t any great sandwich shops within walking distance of downtown.  Plus it’s a full bar!  And who’s to say they won’t expand their menu in the future?  But give them a chance first…

    CTW; Sosta has great sandwiches!

I am looking forward to this place.

  • ctw01/07 05:04 PM

Sosta has good sandwiches but they only serve food from 11-3 and the menu is pretty small.  I am looking forward to menu at The Remedy - lots of choices from what I saw yesterday on the website.  And I thought the hours were good!

  • Elliot01/09 01:54 PM

Don’t get me wrong, I am still going to give the place a try and hope that they succeed, but that word Diner gave me false expectations.

Does anyone know if/when they’re going to open?  Their menu is on their web site and it looks like they tweaked it.
