Ripple City Opening on Glenwood

Remember Slackers?  No not the movie, the alt lifestyle shop on Morgan Street that had a great run in the late 90’s.  Slackers was the kind of place where they had everything- clothes, disc golf, incense and a room of glassware that was consistently crowded with State students. Slacker’s is long gone- these days we have Buddah’s Belly, Curious Goods, and now, Ripple City.

Ripple City has served Greenville for 9 years and ECU students aren’t too happy about the loss of their community bohemian store. “Ripple City is a definitive part of downtown. It gave downtown personality and I’m really going to miss it,” said one student in this East Carolinian Piece.  The shop will be open 12-7 Monday through Saturday, and carries your full range of heady products.  The shop will be located at 603 Glenwood Ave - in the old FM Goods location.  Ripple City opens tomorrow, August 26th.

Nice Kurt.  Store has been around for 9 years already.  Don’t see it going anywhere anytime soon unless they move NC State to Cary.  Seeing as it opened today, I guess you had time to go in and check it out for yourself.  The ten sentence article that is mostly talking about an old business must have given you all the information you needed to shit on it.  ANY local business is good business in downtown.  Just ask Dunkin’ Donuts.

    Hello Everyone!
Thank you for this write-up and feedback. Already, I feel at home here, and I am extremely appreciative of all of the welcome arms that have been extended to me! More love has been put into this project than anything that I have ever done in my life and I think it will show.
