Robyn Playing Raleigh, Too Bad You Have to Pay for Katy Perry
Announced a few weeks ago, Katy Perry will bring her lollipop tour through Raleigh's RBC Center in June. Nothing newsworthy there, but the fine print suggests otherwise. Fluorescent-electro diva Robyn and Marina and the Diamonds will open the show. That twosome would be a great show at either Kings or Disco Rodeo. If the show wasn't $40 plus, I'd say go see Robyn and Marina and head out before the Calfornya Gurl comes on.

Interviewer: You’re opening for Katy Perry this summer—how did that happen?
Robyn: I was asked by her to do it and thought it was a good way of getting to know her audience. It’s bigger than mine. [Laughs]
Interviewer: And are you a fan of hers?
Robyn: You know what? I have to go now. [Giggles]
Interviewer: Really?
Robyn: Yeah! I do. But it’s nice to talk to you.

Have to agree with brian_M. Robyn has gotten a lot of popularity lately. Kings would be too small a venue.

But yeah, it’d be AWESOME for Robyn to have her own solo show in town. Perfect for a summer concert in the downtown Amphitheatre! (And get Jes Brieden as her opener, and you’ll have me on the first row!)
